Leaving for California
October 29th, 2002 @ 4:09 PM in Medical ReportsI’m finally leaving for California to see a doctor at UCSF Medical Center Neurology Department. I arranged this appointment about one and an half month ago to get evaluated for Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery for Dystonia. For more information on this, click “Medical Reports” category.
Anyway, I’m probably going to be away for 2 or 3 days at most since I’m just going to be evaluated for the surgery this time. Even if the doctor gives a go for the surgery, it will probably take several months for Medicaid to approve it. And if the doctor determines otherwise, I’m going to do another kind of surgery. Let’s wait and see what the doctor says.
Strangely, though, I’m not that nervous. It’s probably because either I believe the doctor will say that I can indeed receive the surgery or I’m not expecting anything at all. However, the fact that I had so many dreams this month tells me I indeed am nervous about it.
My parents and I are leaning at around 9 tonight, and we are going to drive there. It will take at least 10 hours. My appointment is at 4 PM tomorrow.
Keep me in your prayers . . . ![]()
