Domain tax

“Internet users may soon be required to pay an additional annual fee for each domain name they own, thanks to a virtually unnoticed requirement that will begin to take effect next year.” — [[link removed]]

I’m not sure why we have to pay an extra fee of 75 cents to help those third-world countries which is exactly what ICANN is forcing us to do. They said they will use one-third of this “tax” without any restrictions… I wonder what they are gonna use it for. I doubt it would be for the world hunger. o_O

I paid .25c per domain during my most recently renewal. I thought that was annoying enough, now it gets worse. I should be more up2date on these short of changes. Thanks.
