Land of the Dead

In my opinion, the movie “Land of the Dead” is not that different from its predecessors, but it sure is more gory and detail-oriented. It just lacks originality.

I will rate it an C-. :|

Long time no see. It’s my fault, I know.

I actually saw this movie, and I rarely have the patience to watch movies. I thought it was unoriginal as well, and it wasn’t even that scary. 28 Days Later gave me nightmares for a week - now that is a scary movie.
The only thing I liked about Land of the Dead is how they portrayed how the fraction of society left adjusted to the new world where zombies inhabited most of it. I think the high class/impoverished distinction as well as that sick club - you know, the one where they were betting on which zombie would kill the girl first - were good touches. A lot of the zombie-related jokes that were weaved into the dialogue between characters in the city/ghetto setting were well done and felt realistic.

    That’s about all, though.

Yeah, long time. How are ya doing?

Anyhow, this movie was more about social classes and what would eventually happen if we continue to divide our society.

I didn’t think you were into “horror” firms by the way… ;)

That’s weird, I checked for it to email me with new comments and it didn’t. Glad I stopped by.

I actually don’t generally like movies, but if I’m going to watch a movie then it has to be either a) scary or in possession of mind-fucking properties or b) thought-provoking or informative. I love documentaries. One of the three reasons I would ever consider having a television is the history channel.

Things are going well here - busy, but I can’t complain. How are you?

Hopefully it’ll actually email me this time…
