Adieu 2006
December 31st, 2006 @ 7:29 PM in EtceteraHappy New Year, everyone!!!
Personally, it’s just another day for me. I don’t do new resolutions, either. Besides, the “time” as we know it is just another men’s invention anyway — and commercialized such events deep into our society. Christmas for an example. The real birthday of Jesus is sometime in January, you know.
But it’s the spirit, you say? Bah humbug! ![]()

“the real birthday of Jesus” is arguably not making any reference-semantic sense at all (no extension for reference ‘Jesus’).
Anyway, New Year’s Eve is totally man’s invension (or convention) but it’s still fun to see so many happy, hopefull people everywhere at the same time.
Too bad people can’t bring that spirit with them for the remainder of the year. THAT would certainly have made the world a better place.
Happy New Year, Mike!
