Return (almost) of Google PageRank
March 15th, 2008 @ 4:50 PM in Web StuffsI’m not sure what the hell is going on, but as of around 4:40PM today, my Google PR is 2! And according to this prediction tool, I can expect 5.
I sure hope so!
Is Google finally hammering out a bug? Is this a temporary thing… or just a hiccup? Who knows…

I stopped caring about Google’s PR a long time ago. If you do paid posts you’ll probably lose it again sometime in the future

That checker was a estimate of future page rank. I bet it looks at links in and other factors suspected PR factors. That wouldn’t take into account those of us who got hit for paid content/links. Page rank is dead to me.

A big laugh to google PR, mine is also dead yesterday and just like Sandra said, I stopped caring about google PR since the very beginning because I know that my blog is not everyone’s favorite stuff to read and totally not “Money Making Stuff”

One of my sites regained its pagerank to a 2 as well. According to that tool you posted it’ll be a 5. I doubt it though. I do paid posts

This is only my speculation, but I think one of the reasons for the drop was because their “link” command was broken.

I really, REALLY loathe Google. They need to make up their freakin’ minds!

Well, if you are doing paid post then it’s unlikely to return but if you applied for a re-inclusion and disabled all paid post then they’ll return your PR. You’ll also have to promise them that you’ll never try to game their system again which is almost like admitting fault but that’s how it works.

I haven’t changed much, though, except the “review my post” link.

But seriously, Mike, you don’t think it was the changing from journal.mp.net to mp.net?
By Michael on Mar 18, 2008 @ 11:00 AM | Reply
Daniel, I wish! I’d be a millionaire if I’d do things like that.
Siggy, that switch actually caused it to go down to big fat 0.
