My Third Funeral
April 15th, 2008 @ 1:28 PM in Life StuffsNo, not MY funeral. I meant a funeral to attend. The mother of the family friend passed away on Sunday. She’s been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease for a few years, and the muscles in her esophagus weren’t working too well lately that made swallowing difficult. According to what I heard, her heart gave out while she was choking on a piece of fruit. She was 83 years old. May her rest in peace.
Her funeral will be held tomorrow which will be my third fourth funeral to attend. The first last two were for the fathers of my friends in college, and I made a fool out of myself at the very first second one. I just didn’t know what to say. I’ll keep my mouth shut tomorrow.
In 33 years of my life, I’ve had to attend only two three funerals. I guess that speaks my social life, eh!?
EDIT: I completely forgot the one of my friend in elementary school, so tomorrow’s one will actually be my fourth one.

I’m sorry to hear about that. Funerals are never easy and I am sure you are not the only one who find it hard to find the right words.
